I’m Crystal, a lifelong reader and writer at heart. Ever since I was young, I’ve found comfort and inspiration in stories; spending hours lost in books, journaling my thoughts, and creating little worlds on paper just for fun. Writing and reading have always been my way of understanding the world and expressing myself.
I grew up in Citrus Heights, California, a quiet pocket in Sacramento County. I’m the youngest of 3 siblings, raised by a strong, resilient single mother who always encouraged me to chase my dreams; even when the path wasn’t easy. She believed in my writing before I did. After she passed away, I found myself holding on tighter to her words. With the encouragement of my daughters, I finally began to pursue the dream I’d carried for so long: becoming a writer.
Though I never formally studied literature, my love for it has shaped so much of who I am. I’ve learned through experience, through the books I’ve read, the people I’ve connected with, and the quiet moments spent putting words to page. Storytelling has always felt less like a hobby. It’s always been a part of me.
Outside of the written word, I’m someone who values simplicity, deep conversations, and creating spaces, both emotional and physical, where people feel seen and heard.
At my core, I’m just someone who’s always followed the pull of stories and the connections they create.
